Jorge Lucas has worked on a variety of Marvel projects over the past few years. He's worked on Black Panther, Wolverine Xisle, and Mystique, to name a few. Now he's working on The Best Defense, a six-part story currently running through Iron Man series, which is shaking up Tony Stark's world to the core. Stark has decided to become a member of the government, he becomes the US Secretary of Defense, but can he make the world a better place?
Lucas likes having a mix of projects to work on with The House. "The variety is nice," Lucas said. "I like to work on the different Marvel characters. Working on different projects is like training. Whatever you draw more, you learn more. Working for Marvel and the American comics industry is awesome for me, in both an artistic and financial sense."


Lucas is very proud of his work on Iron Man. He wanted to work on this series because of the status of this particular character. "Iron Man is a legend," Lucas stated. "I love the Silver Age of Marvel. When I was a child, I read Iron Man. I think Iron Man is like a Medieval knight. He created his armor to fight and perhaps to wash away the sins of his life as a millionaire playboy. He's like a Jeckyll and Hyde, when he's Iron Man he's Dr. Jeckyll, when he wants to be an ordinary human he's transformed into Tony Stark a.k.a. Mr. Hyde. I have a lot of pride in my rendition of this character. I tried to change the armor design a little, until transforming it into a modern version of the armor designed by Gene Colan."

Lucas cites Colan and others as his inspirations for this story. “Jack Kirby and John Buscema always, Gene Colan, Moebius, Wally Wood, Jim Lee, a long file of Marvel '70 artist and something of manga and anime artists.”

The current arc involves a lot of politics. Tony Stark realizes that his technology and technology like it are a danger and in order to make sure it isn't misused, he becomes the US Secretary of Defense. But that doesn't mean it will all be smooth sailing or that everything will work out ok. "Tony's trying to help his country, but he hits against the great wall of political bureaucracy," Lucas explained. "In this story, I had to study the Capitol very well and their environments. I've never been in the city of Washington, but luckily enough there's the internet and [writer] John Jackson Miller contributed a lot of data to me for this job. I feel this is a great story and chance to show Tony Stark like a superhero with or without his armor. This is like the West Wing only with a superhero. John thought through all the chapters for a great final arc. It’s very dramatic and more action for the readers."

La verdad q ya tampoco entendi bien...

Lo de este pibe tatuarce a IronMan es increible, perdon si aca hay algun fanatico de IronMan, no es mi intencion lastimar a alguien pero... NO PODES TATUARTE A IRONMAN!!
Mira, yo la verdad es un personage q me gusta, yo gravaba la serie de Fox, compre el numero 1 (el de heroes return), me gusta verlo de invitado, y quiero si o si q sea un miembro estable de los Vengadores junto a Captain America y Thor.

Pero la gran verdad es q solo, me aburre y mucho. Es mas, me parece un personage muy frio, q mucho no transmite, y q esta bastante debajo del Capi y Thor. Yo antes me hago un tatu de alguno de estos dos toda la vida (Thor seguramente).
Ironman para mi es un personage enblematico de marvel, pero no logra ser alguien q me despierte amor, ba! lo quiero pero hasta ahi, pero con todos los personages TAN AMADOS que hay... Wally West, Hal Jordan, Bats, Thor, el Capi, Spidey, Supes, Diana, tatuarme a ironman ni en pedooooooo

Y seguro q ya arme quilombo

Mira si fue una joda... yo tampoco lo entendi.
Si es verdad, no tenes que tener ningun miedo. Todos los tatuadores, esterilizan sus instrumentos. Es imposible que te transmitas alguna enfermedad intraviral. Eso si, si vas a un lugar que no tiene higiene, seguro que algo te podes pescar. Pero generalmente, son lugares muy higienicos.
