Anyone who collects, buys or sells comic books knows that the Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide by Robert M. Overstreet is the bible when it comes to determining the value of your comics. While prices obviously change over time, the classic importance of these prior guides does not wane. Indeed, the articles, photographs and historical information within these prior editions are invaluable tools for the true hobbyist. This is exactly why I always seek to maintain at least one complete set for my own use.

This is the 11th soft-cover edition published in 1981. It is in used condition. Creasing to spine and cover. But still very readable. It is valued at approximately $85.00 in near-mint condition.

Estas "Historias Cortas" son absolutamente personales. Recogen obra genuina en diferentes registros y temperaturas. Producidas al margen, en las pausas o intersticios que le dejaba la producción más "industrial" como historietista de aventuras, no sólo son "cortas" en oposición a las series -de Alvar Mayor a El Sueñero, para dar dos ejemplos extremos de producción contemporánea- sino independientes del resto y entre sí, más allá de las afinidades manifiestas que agrupan las historias de las Guerras y el rótulo genérico que engloba a las Versiones.
No importa cuál haya sido en cada caso el disparador original: un cuento suyo, un episodio o momento histórico, un "clima" determinado por un artista, un encargo puntual de adaptar un texto ajeno. Enrique Breccia resuelve en cada caso de manera diferente pero siempre suya. Impone una mirada, convierte lo que toca en obra original. Así, no son menos personales -casi me animo a decir que al contrario- las historias propias que las adaptaciones.
Porque Enrique es literalmente un monstruo, es decir alguien que, como se sabe y por definición, no tiene par, no calza con nadie. Un destino de pocos.
