Gracias panchis pero todos esos links y algunos más ya los tengo vistos. Buscaba algún paper sobre él o su obra. Tengo algo de info como para un trabajo suficiente pero suficiente no es suficiente para mí, por eso quería algo más. Gracias por la respuesta. A propósito voy a poner parte de lo que encontré sobre Noordzij así si alguien lo busca luego lo encuentra todo junto:
GERRIT NOORDZIJ
Gerrit Noordzij (1931) practices many different crafts. From 1960-1990 he taught writing and type design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. His graphic work consists mainly of book design: the publishing firm of Van Oorschot being his main client.
He has written books - The Stroke of the Pen, De Staart van de Kat and De Handen van de Zeven Zusters to name a few - and articles in English, German and Dutch. A collection of the articles he wrote for the ATypI was translated in English and published in the book LetterLetter in 2001.

Gerrit Noordzij (Rotterdam, 1931) begon zijn loopbaan als grafisch ontwerper en als boekbindersleerling. In zijn vrije tijd maakt hij letters. Hij ontwerpt boeken voor tientallen uitgeverijen, sinds 1978 voornamelijk voor uitgeverij Van Oorschot. Verder heeft hij de acte van troonsafstand door Koningin Juliana en de trouwacte voor prinses Beatrix ontworpen, talloze affiches, postzegels en munten en maakt hij tekeningen, houtgravures, kopergravures, inscripties in steen en glas. Hij schreef computerprogramma’s (voor Canon) en boekjes: The stroke of the pen, Das Kind und die Schrift, De streek, Theorie van het schrift en schreef en redigeerde het Engelstalige tijdschrift Letterletter van de Association Typographique Internationale. Van 1960 tot 1990 was hij docent letterontwerpen aan de Koninklijke Academie te ’s Gravenhage.
Gerrit Noordzij writes about Ruse:
"Ruse is related to my handwriting. I transferred the rhythm of the written word image into this typeface: the emphasis lies on the balance between the white shapes that keep the black shapes in place. The appearance of the typeface is casual, but what's casual for me doesn't necessarily have to be for other people. Let's say that I excluded any striking peculiarities.
The theoretical product that's distilled from my sketches has proven itself already as a practical tool for posters, cartography and magazines. In books I've been able to test Ruse for poems as well as for scientific texts and catalogues."
Ruse is remarkably extensive and complete. The diagram on this screen shows how the family is built up.
From 000 to 100 the family is divided into 11 variants of increasing contrast. Each variant contains four different kinds of figures (supplied in four font layouts - HgTb, HgTx, LnTb and LnTx) and a special version for ligatures (Lig). HgTb is a version that has old style figures with identical widths, HgTx has old style figures with individual widths, LnTb has lining figures with identical widths and LnTx has lining figures with individual widths. Any typesetting job for figures, whether it be in tables or plain text, can be carried out easily with Ruse. Each variant is available in roman, italic and small capitals. The complete family consist of 154 fonts.
Designer (b. 1931) at Enschedé. From 1960-1990 he taught writing and type design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. One of his many students there was Lucas de Groot. He also designed the perfect font, Ruit, but it is nowhere to be had. He published De Handen van de Zeven Zusters with Willem Dijkhuis (Van Oorschot, Amsterdam, 2001), describing his life's work. Nijhof&Lee write: "Gerrit Noordzij (1931), calligrapher, letter-designer, typographer, writer and educator has been one of the most influencial forces in modern day Dutch typography; during his years as educator at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague he has had an important influence on the younger generation of letter designers after 1970. Besides having designed a.o. the "Dutch Roman" (1980), the "Batavian" (1980) and more recently the "Remer", Noordzij has worked as graphic designer for various Dutch publishers. Since 1978 he has been the "house" designer for the publishing company "Van Oorschot"(who published this book) producing a remarkable oeuvre of work much of which has been acclaimed and awarded."
