Here's the mystery: A PC resides in a small home network behind a cable modem and firewall/router. PC runs WinXP Pro SP2 and Zone Alarm Pro. PC was also running PCAnywhere 11 in host mode using port mapping through the router. I was out for a few days and did not access the PC, but returned to find that Zone Alarm had somehow shut itself down. Also, I noted in Windows Task Manager a process "Inssatt.exe" running and taking up about 10,000 K in mem usage. I couldn't find anything on the internet about Inssatt.exe. I did find a registry entry under HKey Current User/ Software / Microsoft / Search Assistant / ACMru / 5603 with the value of Inssatt. I then tried to use System Restore but was unable to rollback to any previous restore point.
I have scanned with NAV, Spybot S&D, and AdAware and they found nothing unusual. I can kill Inssatt.exe in Task Manager but it returns upon restart.
Any suggestions on how to proceed and if there is reason for conern?
Thanks,
Sam
